ABOUT

Isabella (Bella) is a theatre director from London who enjoys making queer and female-led work that foregrounds joy in all its forms. She is interested in stories that have a real human heart, and makes theatre that is bold, socially engaged, with a hard-hitting core. Defined by vitality, her practice is led by instinct and shaped by the innate human need for connection.
She has worked in both directorial and dramaturgical capacity on new writing projects, and is always keen to read fresh scripts and meet new writers.
After years of being immersed in Fringe theatre while living in Edinburgh, she moved to London, where she continued to develop her practice with Director's Cut at the Southwark Playhouse. She is currently completing her MA Drama Directing at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, where she is refining her craft and making exciting new work. She also holds an MA in English Literature with first class honours from the University of Edinburgh
